Conversations around gender equity are growing, but for many businesses, turning insight into action remains a challenge.
ElevateHER research (The State of Work for Women in Events and Marketing Exposed, 2025), informed by close to 500 industry voices, revealed that 57% of women have experienced or witnessed gender-based discrimination in the workplace. Alongside progression gaps, the research also highlighted consistent shortfalls in how women’s health is supported at work.
These aren’t marginal issues – they directly impact wellbeing, confidence, productivity, and retention.
The Reality Behind the Data
Our findings showed that 86% of respondents identified women’s health, including menstrual health, menopause, and fertility, as a priority area for workplace support, yet many organisations lack clear frameworks to address this.
Policy is often the fastest way to move from intention to impact. Clear, practical guidance helps:
• Normalise conversations
• Reduce stigma
• Give managers confidence
• Ensure support is consistent, not ad hoc
Why Policy Matters
That’s why we created the ElevateHER Female Health & Wellbeing Policy Template.
The template includes:
• Practical policy wording across menstruation, menopause, and fertility
• Flexible options organisations can tailor to their culture and size
• Guidance covering physical, flexible-working, training, and tech-based support
• A structure that can be adopted in full or in part
It’s intentionally broad, because ElevateHER research showed there is no one-size-fits-all approach to women’s health at work.
Supporting Progress Across the Industry
ElevateHER was built to support change beyond one organisation. By publishing this policy as a free resource, we aim to help businesses:
• Shortcut to meaningful action
• Remove uncertainty around “where to start”
• Build more inclusive, supportive environments faster
If your organisation is looking for a practical starting point, download the Female Health & Wellbeing Policy Template on the ElevateHER resource hub.
