Taking place during the pandemic, the type of staff we provided covered full service Operations Management, Logistics and Warehouse support.
Elevate was tasked by the Orange County Department of Health to help authorities tackle the huge demand for Covid vaccinations in the U.S. These two vaccine projects presented immense logistical challenges – the target number in Orange County alone was 3.2 m adults by the agreed date. was asked to assume operational control of 35 clinics across six vaccination pods and to manage the administration of 12,000 vaccinations daily. We needed to find the right people and expertise to implement the program at speed, at scale and effectively. In head count terms this meant finding six Vaccination POD managers, 20 area leads, 90 logistics people and nearly 400 non-clinical staff for every day.
To meet the task, Elevate hired a full-time dedicated Project Account team and we set up a highly structured sourcing and screening program for all staffing hires. We worked with officials to manage communications and logistics, food supply and procurement, PPE stock, proactive weather closures and deployment of the mobile vaccination pods. Our initial success in OC made us the proven partner for a similar project in Los Angeles County, providing the County of Los Angeles full-service management of daily operations and logistics at 4 Megapods In addition, Elevate managed the sub-contracts for Fire Apparatus and Operators, as well as Utility Vehicles & Radios. This structure allows for County Fire, Life Guards, and Librarians to resume their job duties with the County during re-opening and fire season.
