Nevertheless, beyond staffing, we help measure ROI at many of these activations. This includes tracking metrics such as consumer engagements, peak periods, and sales values, peak periods and more. Here’s a glimpse at some of the most captivating retail projects we’ve worked on:

1. Waitrose & Partners (UK): Leading In-Store Tastings Nationwide

Firstly, Waitrose & Partners is one of the UK’s most beloved grocery retailers, known for its quality products and strong customer service. Since 2022, we’ve partnered with Waitrose to lead in-store tasting activations across 70 stores nationwide for over 95 brands.

Our team of specially trained Brand Ambassadors offer samples to shoppers, converting “tasters” to customers and driving sales. Using Impact, we tracked key KPIs, including 1.8 million consumer engagements and over 1.7 million samples distributed across the UK, showcasing the measurable impact of these activations.

2. Harrods (UK): Sweet Success with Pastiglie Leone

Similarly, Harrods, the iconic London department store, is synonymous with luxury and excellence. We had the pleasure of supporting Pastiglie Leone for several months, an Italian confectionery brand, with a long-term activation in Harrods Food Hall to launch their high-class sweet products.

Our Brand Ambassadors engaged directly with customers, offering samples and sharing the story behind the brand.

Using Impact, from March – July this year, we were able to track key metrics. This included – footfall, average engagement time, % of footfall engaged with, most sampled sweet, the average audience age and much more. Our event staffs’ efforts significantly boosted brand awareness and sales within the store, creating a sweet success story for Pastiglie Leone with over 20,000 products samples being distributed during this time and more campaign dates later in the year.

3. Amazon Fresh (US): Community Activations Nationwide

Additionally, last year, we partnered with Boom Ventures to support Amazon Fresh as they continue to grow their footprint in the US. This took place for several months, across 9 US markets. The role of our Brand Ambassadors was to deliver community activations that would promote the store and its latest products.

From showcasing cutting-edge tech to engaging customers with samples and demonstrations, our Brand Ambassadors have been instrumental in creating buzz around the brand and driving footfall to their stores. Using our Impact tool, during the first few months, we tracked campaign performance driving key metrics like over 11,000 products sampled, around 13,000 premiums and coupons distributed and 6,600 consumer engagements. Due to the success of this campaign, this program has expanded and continued throughout this year.

4. Rockefeller Center (US): Man City Pop-Up Store

During Manchester City’s US pre-season tour, stichd’s pop-up store at the iconic Rockefeller Center in New York City was buzzing with excitement. Our Brand Ambassadors played a crucial role in this activation, driving merchandise sales and engaging with football fans visiting the pop-up.

From sharing product knowledge to creating memorable customer interactions. Our team ensured that fans left with both souvenirs and a fantastic brand experience.

5. Target Stores (US): In-Store Promotions for XFCTR

Firstly, Target, one of the US’s largest and most recognisable retailers, provides an ideal platform for engaging promotions. We supported XFCTR in delivering in-store activations at 400 Target locations nationwide, across 48 states; driving awareness and boosting sales for featured brands. Sometimes we’re working across up to a staggering 800 activation days per weekend!

Our Brand Ambassadors created vibrant, interactive experiences, helping customers discover new products. All whilst driving awareness and sales for these brands. These activations were designed to seamlessly align with Target’s community-centric ethos, leaving lasting impressions on shoppers. Again using Impact, we were able to provide key KPIs and operational data from each of the promotions as well as insights and recommendations. This includes: identifying peak engagement times, optimising staffing schedules, and ensuring seamless alignment with Target’s community-focused ethos.

6. La Vallée Village (France): Enhancing Visitor Experiences

In addition, La Vallée Village, the premier shopping destination near Paris, offers luxury brands in a picturesque, open-air experience. Over the past year, we’ve been providing skilled Brand Ambassadors to enhance the visitor experience, ensuring every interaction feels seamless and high-end. To find the right staff, our Brand Ambassadors went through a rigorous recruitment process involving pre-selection telephone interviews and on-site castings.

So far, our team has focused on delivering exceptional customer service through tailored solutions. This includes, assisting visitors with navigation and shopping inquiries, and embodying the premium standards that La Vallée Village is known for.

7. KadeWe (Germany): Representing Top Brands

Lastly, Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe) is a renowned luxury department store in Berlin, known for its world-class shopping experience.

We’ve been providing Brand Ambassadors for various premium brands such as Off-White, L’Oreal and GHD, driving sales and creating high-touch customer experiences. For Off-White, we worked to find highly professional Beauty Advisors to work at their store opening; meanwhile for GHD we recruited and trained beauty personnel to promote their latest products across Germany over several months. The results say it all:

  • GHD: We were live for 481 days, activated across 106 stores, drew over 110k event footfall, and generated €138k+ in sales values.
  • Off-White: Our teams delivered 100% compliance during a 3-month activation, featuring 6 trained Brand Ambassadors.
  • L’Oréal: We supported 30+ group brands across 1,000+ events for over 16 years.

Our team’s product expertise and customer-focused approach helped these brands stand out, ensuring they resonated with KadeWe’s shoppers. Again, by leveraging Impact, we provided detailed insights into activation performance; helping these brands connect with KaDeWe’s clientele.
